Everything Club Penguin Weekly Review: Moderators!

Hi there, penguins!

It's February 12th, 2013 which means it's officially's third birthday! In the past three years, Everything Club Penguin has grown and become more proficient in both posts and graphics. I thank everyone who's visited my website over the past three years and have also helped my website grow.

Secondly, I apologize for not creating an Everything Club Penguin Weekly Review last week, I was extremely busy with school work and testing! For the 11th week of Everything Club Penguin Weekly Reviews, I've decided to base the topic on something penguins have been speaking about for quite some time... moderators!

What are moderators? Moderators help keep Club Penguin a safe environment for children of all ages to play in. It's very possible that you may know a moderator, as there's tons of them! However, you may have your suspicious on which penguins are moderators but you never know if a penguin is indeed a moderator. The penguins you see in the Club Penguin videos uploaded to YouTube are workers and are most likely not moderators.

What do moderators do? Moderators have many jobs. Some answer support emails, help with penguin accounts and can even pick up the phone when you call Club Penguin! Many penguins receive bans each day. Why do you get banned? It's because you're breaking one or more of the Club Penguin rules. One of the most common jobs a moderator is given is to ban penguins who aren't following the rules. You can check out on your Parent account (if you have one) which rule you broke, and how long the ban is issued for. Moderators have the capability of unbanning penguins, but only for really good reasons. You'd need to call into Club Penguin with a parent/guardian on the phone.

How can I flag someone's actions to a moderator? To report a penguin for performing a bad action in Club Penguin, click on their penguin and click on the mini Moderator badge on their player card. You will then be able to choose the reason for reporting the penguin and submit the report. All of the actions and text the player said and used will automatically be submitted to a moderator to review.

What did you think of this week's Everything Club Penguin Weekly Review? Do you think you know any moderators in Club Penguin? Do you obey the Club Penguin rules?
